Children’s Day or Week? How We Made Them Matter…
We understood the importance of children and the exposure they get. Thus, we gave them a treat that will not only excite them but that which will really impart knowledge on them.
On Thursday, 23rd May 2019, we supervised them into handling most of the duties of the school. We not only wanted them to have a new view to their enjoyment, we also wanted to make them understand leadership and how to run companies of their own. Some of their strategic places include the front desk, where we aimed to imbibe the knowledge of diplomacy as well as having the ability to be a good brand manager, CEOs, Entrepreneurs etc.
More so, we appointed them to be in-charge of educating their younger ones, using our highly effective curriculum. This not only help them to remain bold and courageous, it enlightened them and gave them the chance to be patient enough to handle those that are yet to attain the level they ought to.The next day, Friday, 24th May 2019, we started off by pitching them against their teachers in questions many of the Pupils have been prepared for. Our aim is to help the Pupils build a thick skin in this world of stiff competition even when the competitor seems to have more advantage.
Therefore, we made them face the same reality and allowed both sides to pick their questions randomly. At the end of the event, the pupils lost to the teachers and we were able to help them understand that regardless of how they won or lose, they should be able to carry-on like a sportsman.
After this event, we proceeded to the great TerraCouture at Victoria Island, to watch a play ‘Adio’, the musicals hosted by Grandma Wura. A little survey from the pupils after the events showed how insightful and entertaining they found the event.
Even as they returned home, we could not help the joy we felt from knowing the great lessons they have learnt at this events. As we prepare for the numerous activities in line, the only thing on our mind is how our pupils can enjoy the great loads of entertaining knowledge and capacity building awaiting them.
